Roni (German Spitz ) is my Best Companion

Roni (German Spitz ) is my Best Companion

Yes,Roni (German Spitz ) is my Best Companion

The Roni  is the only creature on earth that loves me more than she loves herself. Roni  is not my whole life, but Roni makes my  life whole. Today, German Spitz  have become a very popular choice as family pets and companions thanks to their charming looks affectionate, and kind nature.

Roni  has joined with our family in the middle of May 2011( aged around one and half years).Since then my/our life has changed a lot in positive direction and good things are happening. God's gift. We had 5 Plus good years together and she is the best (dog) friend/family member .

I just love to be with Roni,. Smart, loving, funny and just a really good (dog). I think my favorite part is that she sleep beneath my cot  every night. Life without (Roni) dog would be incomplete.....Roni got pregnant during her Second or Third heat period and at the time ,she is  only about 2 years old. She has started to give birth on 63rd day of pregnancy. On 29th August 2012 ( Onam Day ) around 8:30 A.M. (within  two hours) she had 5 pups.(Two Male and Three Female).I gave the pups to the known people without getting anything..Her Vet. Physician Dr.AAR.Srinivasan gives periodical Vaccination once in a year.

Initially, we are providing some food after our meals. Later I thought I should share a part of the food I take. After wards I came to the conclusion that I should keep some thing first for Roni and take my food, which is followed now.

Roni is the kindest, most loving dog towards every other dog and is so gentle whilst playing with her. It is an amazing breed. . A dog is a man’s best friend. This really is true and one reason that you might want to adopt a dog is to be able to have a companion that will love you unconditionally, which is all that a dog in need wants to do. Pet therapy is becoming very popular these days in the USA, especially for help in diseases like Alzheimer's.

The temperament of the Roni is a hallmark of the breed and is described in the standard as "kindly, friendly and confident". Roni is not "one man dog" and it is  equally amicable with strangers and to those familiar to them.

My personal Experience has shown that merely petting a dog helps to control blood pressure. Whether you believe it or not, Roni is in a great way to improve my mood and temperament. Roni gives me unconditional love and is always faithful. It's true because flow of love towards caretaker by pets are manifested thousand times more than human.

Myself  take my pet Roni for walks, so it will mainly get the benefits of physical exercise and sociable exchanges with other friends/pet owners. Roni makes me to  walk on the  road is more enjoyable. Other activities related to Roni like feeding, bathing, and playing  are also good ways to exercise.

Definitely while I take up my morning walk through the streets I come across at least a dozen dogs a day. Initially the dogs used to come near and bark and make fear of biting. But as the day went I found they have smelled me, not even wake up from their location.

Every dog has his day, unless she loses her tail, The Roni is a nicer than the average person .For Roni, the attachment she feel towards me and my  family members  are fundamental to her well-being. Kids who grow up with pets at home are always respectful towards living things.

In general ,dogs can either serve as watchdogs or guard dogs. A watch dogs job is to bark and raise the alarm when a stranger enters our house. Many small dog breeds make great watch dogs. Whereas a guard dog's job is to look intimidating and protect his family if the situation arises.

I was thinking of writing on stray dog feeding. Incidentally I came across some interesting information today about cows and crows and interlinking them to ancestors. I thought of sharing them also with you. While every body write of serious topics I thought some light reading material would not be bad. Now ,I just tried to trace mythology of crow and dog today. It was astonishing to me to read that not only crows and cow but dogs too represent ancestors.

Hindus in Nepal worship dog to guard their house from destruction, However, Hindus in India generally do not worship dogs. Lord Bhairava, the guardian deity to the abode of Lord Shiva, is usually depicted with a dog or riding a dog as his vahana. Feeding and taking care of dogs is believed to be a way of showing our devotion to Lord Bhairava

In Hindu mythology too, dogs have a special place. In religious ceremonies, dogs are considered to be a link between us and our ancestors. Special offerings are given to dogs, along with the cow and the crow, so as to remember and invoke the blessings of our ancestors.

I hope it opens the eyes of so many people who refuse to open their minds and hearts to having a pet and taking care of it.  I wish this world had more dogs and less humans. The world would have been a better, kinder and more compassionate place. I conclude with these words.

  2. RONI : THE ETERNAL PET

A diminutive Husky pup landed on the lap of Sri S Kasturi Rangan, on one fine morning in the year 2010, much to his chagrin. How the little pup found a way to stay put in Amogha itself is interesting. A north Indian was having the pup and he handed over the same to his maid servant as he was vacating the house, on his transfer. She, in turn handed over the pup to her friend, a painter, as she was too apprehensively concerned of her pregnant daughter. The painter one day met Sri S Kasturi Rangan and asked him to shelter the pup for some time as he was going to Pondicherry. Hesitantly agreed Sri S Kasturi Rangan had to face the music on that night, as the little pup was barking whole night. The reason being that as a cross breed of German shepherd and Labrador, she loved to roam freely and get enraged when she was fastened with a string. However, the next morning, Sri S Kasturi Rangan and the pup mutually intrigued with each other and the camaraderie started blooming. The Pup was hardly one year old then.
By the time the painter returned from Pondicherry, the tail wager befriended Kasturi and stayed put with him. He exhibited utmost affection towards the pup and took her into his stride. She became a very good companion for Sri Kasturi. The pet reciprocated the master’s affection and became a member of his family.
The pet was named RONI, the name casually uttered by Kasturi’s father, when one stray canine frequented his house long back. The premonition of his father became a reality as Sri Kasturi named his pet as RONI.
When Roni was about 3 years old, she delivered 5 litters and all the 5 were given to passersby. Roni domiciled for about 8 years in Sri Kasturi’s house, giving him a pleasant and delightful company. Sri Kasturi strongly believed that Roni was a talisman as her entry into the house augured admirably well for the entire family.
Sri S Kasturi Rangan got habituated to the daily routine of Roni and never considered as monotonous. On the other, he considered it as his privilege and pleasure to serve up Roni. The well being of Roni was his top priority, be it providing healthy diet, periodical vaccination, medical treatment and above all bestowing the comfort zone for Roni. He devoted much time and energy in upbringing Roni. Notwithstanding the soothe provided, Roni was afflicted by dodgy malady and was enduring the pain for nearly a year.
On 31st July 2018, he embraced and beholded Roni to attend to her nature’s call, as she could not walk stairs. As usual, in the open lawn in the ground floor, Sri Kasturi prepared to give Roni, a facial wash but to his dismay, Roni took a big leap towards the heavenly abode by murmuring Ranga, Ranga, evoking her master’s name and the all pervasive Rangan. She expressed her dutiful gratitude to her master even at the last stage of her life. She was given an honorable burial at Nungambakkam burial ground.
Roni’s absence left a profound void in Sri Kasturi’s family and is hard to fill in the hole and cavity left behind by the pet. The loveable Roni’s association would ever linger in the eyes and minds of Sri S Kasturi Rangan, which he would relish and cherish, in the days to come.
